This unidentified harp with 34 Strings was originally purchased by the owner's mother (now deceased) in Scotland in around 1990. While the harp shows it's age, it is a lovely instruments capable of producing a delicate tone favored by sweet harmonics that uplift its voice. The Cherry wood is aesthetically stunning as is the attention to details of the feet and curvature of the harmonic arch. Buyer should be aware of cracking in the soundboard which reflects its age -- this could be detrimental to the harp's longevity. We have been unable to attribute this harp to any particular maker, though it shows influences of several fine contemporary makers. Sold "as is" this harp is quite unique and will be a lovely addition to a diverse collection.

From Triplett Harps of San Luis Obispo, California, the Christina 26 is one of the few harps specifically designed for therapy work, playing in tight spaces with a light meditational tone that is balanced and pure. By joining the neck into the body of the harp, the harpist is able to see over the harp and view the patients ... or, if in a group play, see the other players. The harp is lightweight and designed to play with a strap and while small, it has standard string spacings so transitioning from a larger harp is easy. The harp is dedicated (and named after) the makers' niece who fought a long batter against cancer, during which the harp was a significant balm. The current owner has taken meticulous care of this harp. The soundboard bears an elegant Celtic knot patter embellishment and it comes with a soft carrying case. The 26 string version sells new for $2795 and this pre-loved harp is set at $1900.

"While offering the scale of the largest lever harps, the Hermes is unique in being a lower-tensioned 40-string harp. With the look of a contemporary pedal harp, the low tension lever strings create a large resonance, enhanced by a resonance chamber at the foot of the harp and a wide-ranging scale. The tone is outbound, full and expressive, with great response and balance. The lower tension creates a spritely playing experience and overall, the harp is an excellent choice for many genres of music from Celtic to classical. Built by Salvi Harps, this Italian harp is exceptionally well-made. We originally sold this harp new in 2022, the year it was built. It is in virtually pristine condition and has had only one previous owner. Comes with a Transport Cover, wrench and dust cover. Today, this would run $6240. Our price: $4800.

We are thrilled to represent this Dusty Strings FH36 B Lever harp build in Seattle Washington. This harp is an older model FH...the "B" was built for a few years in the late 1990's, early 2000's, with a wider soundboard, particularly at the top side. The more modern FH is a bit more streamlined, but you will love the full sound provided by the ample soundbox. The Walnut wood is striking in appearance and, like all the Dusty Strings harps, the harp has one of the purest tones available. 36 strings provides a wide 5 octave tonal range and the harp plays out with an impressive voice that is both articulated and powerful. The FH is a low-tensioned harp, strung with nylon strings. This harp was originally purchased by its current owner in about 2000, was regulated 5 years ago (it's perfect) and comes with the deluxe transport case and many extra strings. New (if they still made this model), this harp would retail at about $6885 but we are offering the harp, complete as an outfit for $4800

Discover the Melodic Charm: Pre-Owned Clark Harps Await!
Clark harps have a long and storied history in the early twentieth-century harp world. Started in 1908 in Chicago, these fine harps quickly rose in prominence and popularity that the small manufacturing company could not keep up with demand and launched into a partnership with Lyon and Healy that lasted until the 1930’s. Don’t be misguided by the small frame of these fine harps…they have a remarkable tone: both clear and vibrant and are used by professional players frequently. The harp also has a lovely base with legs that it fits into with a satisfying “click” The base is hinged so that when released, the harp tilts backwards into a playing position.
Each harp is highly ornamented with classic gilded patterns of the early 20th Century. These are 29-string harps.
These harps are original to the Clark workshop in Chicago in 1911 and 1914. Both have been fully restored and are in excellent condition, although the levers are old (blade style, mostly) and the strings need replacement. We are waiting to hear what the next owner’s preference are: this would be a lovely gut-strung harp, but synthetic strings would also work.

The FH36 S is 20 years old. It’s a really nice harp and doesn’t have a dent on it anywhere. It’s older but has been well cared for.
The FH line represents the pinnacle of the Dusty Strings Line up of fine performance harps.
The FH36S has what we feel is the ideal range for a full-size lever harp: five octaves, starting and ending on C. It surrounds the player with a round, full-bodied and well articulated sound, and its generous depth, power and responsiveness make playing seem effortless. It's a beautiful piece of fine woodworking and a satisfying investment for any harp enthusiast.
The sides and back of the soundbox consist of five facets of book-matched hardwood. This staveback design puts a flat facet, rather than a corner, against the player's shoulder, which some find more comfortable and which makes it easier to reach the lower strings. This soundbox shape, as opposed to the rectangular soundbox of the FH36H, gives a subtly rounder sound with a slightly fuller bass voice.
