DON’T STOP PLAYING!

TAKE LESSONS ON LINE!

While we are in a Covid-19 crisis, many studios have closed…but most teachers are continuing to teach using one of the many online video conferencing Apps.

We are a violin shop, and by definition live in the 18th Century most of the time, but even we use Skype and Facetime regularly to conduct meetings across our three locations. The apps are free, easy to use, and very effective! We know even conservatory students that take lessons on Skype, so we know it can be done very effectively.

If your teacher has closed his or her studio during the Covid-19 period, you can keep lessons going by contacting one of these teachers for interim lessons. Most are open to taking on new students, even knowing they will return to their original teacher once the crisis is over.

This can be a great opportunity to gain a new perspective, take fiddle lessons if you are a classical player (or vice versa) and just broaden your playing horizons!

We will update this list frequently, so check back for more names. If you are a teacher and would like to be added to this list, please send your contact information!
