First select your harp!
The Juno 25 is versatile, portable, and brilliant. A perfect choice for a young beginner or an amateur adult.
The small size and comfortable base make it playable as a lap harp - traditionally with feet or 20cm legs or standing with a telescopic stand or harness (sold separately).
Crafted in Italy by Salvi, the premier name in European harp making, the Juno 25 is a fully levered, 25-string introductory instrument designed specifically with young beginners and traveling players in mind. Unlike typical small starter harps, the Juno 25 features a premium rounded back design that delivers excellent tone projection while maintaining a highly portable frame.
Why It Excels for Beginners & Young Players
Kid-Friendly Low Tension: Strung with advanced synthetic strings that provide a bright, uplifting tone under low tension. This makes it incredibly easy on small, developing fingers to press and play without fatigue.
Flexible Playing Positions: Adaptable to any child's growth. It can be played comfortably on its elegant built-in base, raised with standard 20cm legs, or paired with an innovative telescoping stand that retracts seamlessly right into the instrument body for standing performances.
Fun, Inspiring Aesthetics: Available in traditional natural tone woods (Mahogany, Cherry, Natural) as well as vibrant, kid-approved colors like Red, Green, and Blue to get young students excited about practice.
Ready to Travel: Includes a custom-fitted travel bag in the price, making it easy to portage to lessons, school, or rehearsals.
The Juno 27 has a bright, clear sound and a great match for the student harpist – it is lightweight and with both feet and 20cm legs, can accommodate a child’s growth.
For players who want a bit more musical range without sacrificing portability, the Salvi Juno 27 is the ideal step up. This 27-string Italian-crafted lever harp bridges the gap between compact lap instruments and full-scale floor harps, providing a richer sonic palette while remaining incredibly lightweight and practical.
Designed for Growth and Performance
Extended Range, True Harp Profile: With 27 fully levered synthetic strings, this model accommodates expanding student repertoires. It behaves like a full-scale instrument, projecting a beautifully clear, bright tone that fills a room.
Ergonomic Floor Configuration: While still highly portable, the Juno 27 is optimized to be played as a floor harp. It comes equipped with interchangeable feet and 20cm legs, allowing you to drop it down or raise it up so the student can sit with perfect posture at a standard-sized chair.
The Ultimate Practical Travel Harp: It is not just for kids—adult amateurs and gigging harpists love the Juno 27 for its exceptional portability. It packs away effortlessly into the included premium travel bag for road trips and music camps.
When harp specialists are asked to recommend the single best entry-level 34-string instrument, the Salvi Mia surfaces again and again — and for good reason. Born from Italy's most storied harp-making tradition, the Mia occupies a uniquely compelling position in the Celtic and small-format lever harp market: it delivers genuine tonal beauty at a price that doesn't demand compromise.
A Sound That Surprises
What distinguishes the Mia above all else is its voice. This is a harp with a notably lyrical, uplifted quality — bright, spritely, and uncommonly pleasant to listen to. It does not produce the bold, projecting sound of a larger instrument, nor is it intended to. Instead, it excels at the intimate, expressive warmth that makes lever harp music so captivating in home and studio settings. Our harp technician loved this instrument so much she purchased one for herself — and it remains her everyday playing harp. That is perhaps the most honest endorsement we can offer.
Construction & Materials
The Mia is built with a solid Okoumé soundboard — a tonewood prized for its clarity and resonance — housed within a full solid-wood instrument body sourced from European timber. This is not a laminated or composite construction; it is a properly voiced acoustic instrument. The standard string set is BioCarbon, a low-tension synthetic offering a responsive, even touch ideally suited to developing technique. A gut string upgrade is available for players seeking additional warmth and complexity.
Who Is the Salvi Mia For?
The Mia hits a genuine sweet spot for three distinct buyers: the beginner harpist stepping into a 34-string instrument for the first time; the student who wants the full five-octave range without the bulk or cost of a larger harp; and the accomplished player seeking a lightweight, portable second instrument. It will fill a room with ease, though it is not engineered for amplified stage performance. Think of it as a harp you will love playing every day — easy to carry, easy to tune, and effortlessly enjoyable.
How Does It Compare to the Ravenna 34 and Drake 34?
Shoppers frequently ask us to compare the Mia against the Lyon & Healy Ravenna 34 and Drake 34. The Mia and Ravenna are direct competitors in format and price. The Mia tends to be slightly more petite and its tone is distinctly more lyrical — gentle and sonorous rather than powerful. The Drake steps up in volume and projection, making it the preference of more advanced players who need greater carrying power. For those prioritising sweetness of sound and effortless portability, the Mia is consistently our recommendation.
All Italian Craft, the Salvi harps offer a beautifully designed lever harp for players of all levels. A rare harp: 38 strings at very affordable price, this harp offers extended range of play, with over 5 octaves to allow an expansive repertoire yet is a manageable, transportable harp. All European woods create a classic tone - rich and clear - that supports all genres of lever harp performance.
The Titan comes standard with BioCarbon strings. A gut upgrade is available for an additional $150.00
The Salvi Titan is a frequently overlooked giant in the lever harp world, but it is easily one of our absolute favorite instruments in the shop. It hits a rare sweet spot of high value and incredibly high performance. If you want a lever harp that looks, feels, and projects like a premium instrument without a devastating price tag, the Titan stands alone.
Why We Recommend the Salvi Titan
True to its name, the Salvi Titan is a commanding presence, standing beautifully at over five feet tall. Because of its large soundbox architecture, it delivers a profoundly deep, resonant tone that effortlessly fills a room.
Unlike heavy-tension harps that can be tiring for developing hands, the Titan features a beautifully responsive light tension setup. We highly recommend it with Sipario bio-carbon strings, which give the harp an incredibly bright, clear, and articulate voice that speaks the moment your fingers touch the strings. (For players seeking a warmer, traditional feel, gut stringing is also available).
With 38 strings, you gain a critical extra half-octave over standard 34-string models, unlocking a massive classical and contemporary repertoire without needing to constantly manipulate levers.
Built for the Moving Musician
A common hesitation with a full-sized lever harp is transportability. Salvi elegantly solves this. Every Titan from Vermont Violins comes with a masterfully crafted, heavily padded transport cover. Because of the harp's grand scale, the bag features integrated heavy-duty wheels (its own built-in 'landing gear') and ergonomic straps, making it remarkably easy to portage to lessons, recitals, or orchestral gigs.
