Lys Wainwright Appointed Shop Manager at Vermont Violins in South Burlington
VERMONT VIOLINS NEWSROOM – Vermont Violins is exceptionally proud to announce that classical violinist, educator, and supply chain specialist Lys Wainwright has joined our team as the new Shop Manager for our South Burlington location. Having stepped into the role this June, Lys is now leading our retail operations and directly deepening our relationship-driven service across New England’s string ecosystem.
Lys brings a rare, intersectional mastery to our team, combining more than twenty years of violin performance and student mentorship with an extensive background in corporate operations, retail management, and vendor logistics.
From the Bench to the Showroom
An active freelance symphonic and chamber musician since 2012, Lys fundamentally understands the vital relationship between an artist and the lutherie bench. She knows firsthand how having a knowledgeable partner to guide a musician through instrument selection, tonal adjustments, and structural care can reshape a player's creative path.
Her performance-honed perspective perfectly matches her academic foundation; Lys holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with dual concentrations in Entrepreneurship and Operations from the University at Buffalo. Prior to joining us, she served as a Lead Teaching Artist, where she curated community-centered recitals, managed enrollment structures, and guided families through long-term technical milestone planning.
