Solid sapele neck, sides & back
Laminated Finland birch soundboard
Full set of Loveland sharping levers
Four removable legs included
The 26-string Allegro is an ideal harp for any traveling harpist, beginner or teacher. Its 3½ octaves make it conveniently portable yet provide it with enough range and fullness of sound to please a fine-tuned ear. Combining solid wood sides and back with the simplicity of a laminate soundboard creates a clear and bright sound, blending the affordability of the Ravenna 26 with some of the solid wood tone and volume of the FH26.
Available fully levered with Loveland sharping levers, or with Camac levers as an option. A set of straight-tapered detachable legs (included) raises the harp about 11½ inches to a comfortable playing height. Sets of 5-inch or 8-inch legs are also available.
CE26 or CD26 case available separately.
Price includes set of four 12-inch legs and T-handle tuning wrench.
Do not mistake the Allegro 26 for a toy. While it comes in a compact size, this is a serious, highly sophisticated instrument designed to meet strict professional standards. It offers unmatched portability without sacrificing an ounce of the tonal depth that Dusty Strings is famous for.
Small Frame, Profound Voice
For years, local music teachers explicitly asked us to carry a small-format harp that they could confidently recommend to beginners and traveling adults. The Allegro 26 is that perfect solution.
Weighing in at only about 5 pounds, it is arguably the most portable, travel-ready harp in our entire showroom. Yet, despite its featherlight build, it projects a remarkably powerful, profound voice. Dusty Strings achieved this by applying classic violin-making engineering techniques to the harp—specifically utilizing an asymmetric soundboard. This brilliant design allows the bass side and the treble side to vibrate independently and optimally, resulting in a surprising depth of tone and excellent room-filling volume.
The structural resilience of the Allegro 26 is unmatched. It features highly durable nylon strings and low tension, which is incredibly gentle on small or developing hands while staying locked in tune.
Please note that your harp will not look exactly like the photos you see here. Because wood is a natural material, and the color and grain vary from tree to tree, each harp we build is unique.
We make an effort to keep the photos up to date as far as general design goes, but videos could show slightly older versions.
