A Rennaissance-style, wire strung clarsach harp with 30 strings.  Based closely on an image in Praetorius Syntagma Musicum of 1619, the Kinnellan is a historically accurate and fully functional work of art.  The wood is Sycamore with brass string shoes and a back of Oak. .  The strings, based on a scheme published by Edward Bunting in 1840 runs C to D with 6 silver strings and 24 brass.   The Sycamore tiger-striping is dramatic, made more so by hte Georgian finish.  This harp is relatively lightweight at 16 pounds and stands approx 40 inches tall. The harp was built and imported in 2022 and has had only one owner. The Kinnellan is named for a loch near Strathpeffer Scotland.
