The Air 2.1 features a padded suspension system — meaning the violin is held within the case by a cushioned cradle that suspends the instrument off the case walls, rather than simply resting in a shaped cavity. The interior is lined with black velour padding and includes a protection blanket — a soft cover that rests over the instrument when the case is closed, adding a secondary layer of surface protection and preventing resonance against the shell during transit.
