Marguerite chose the violin at six years of age and has never stopped playing. She started her career with the Suzuki method, and now, with 25 years of playing experience in a wide variety of ensembles, she is well-practiced in classical music, fiddle music, and contemporary styles.
Marguerite is a licensed elementary teacher who has spent six years in the public school system teaching kindergarten through second grade. Her music education is informed by her deep understanding of curriculum creation and implementation, individualized planning for each student, and the integration of joy into lessons.
TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
Marguerite believes that, by combining ear training, physical technique, music theory, and a love of creating music, anyone can become a violinist.
