SENIOR LUTHIER, SOUTH BURLINGTON VERMONT

Luthier, South burlington Vermont

Vermont Violins seeks a new, full-time,  member for its Luthier team, based in South Burlington Vermont.  Successful applicant will be one who seeks a cooperative and supportive work environment in which team work is encouraged in an atmosphere of goal-oriented, mutual respect.  Excellent attention to detail and enjoyment of the workshop/retail environment is essential.  This position will utilize lutherie skills to effect excellent set ups of owned instruments, repairs and adjustments of client instruments and participation in the all-company effort to build and distribute our own line of violins and violas, sold under the V. Richelieu label. Vermont Violins also has a strong commitment to sustainable lutherie and seeks candidates who share this concern to utilize environmentally -friendly materials and processes.  Vermont Violins offers a competitive salary with paid time-off benefits, a retirement plan, training and continuing education and product discounts.

Luthier

We are seeking a qualified well-trained luthier to serve on our team. Anticipated responsibilities include set ups, repairs and restorative work on violin-family instruments for both our in-house instruments and client-owned. Our shop is a team-oriented workshop, with constant collaboration and sharing of knowledge. Work at Vermont Violins is unique in that it combines both restorative and set up work with violin making as every luthier is involved in the creation of our own instruments, sold under the V. Richelieu label. We value thoughtful independence and inquisitiveness that opens the minds to sharing with other members of the team: to teach and to learn from. All of our luthiers are deeply involved in the life of the shops and find a professional home in the workshop, fed by the communities we serve.
