Enesco- Hand crafted violin from Rehin, Romania, this instrument is crafted from superior woods from the Carpathian region of Eastern Europe. Back plate is rich with figure, scroll is delicately carved with deep fluting. Overall the instrument has a rich appearance and plays with warmth and integrity. The sound is perfect for advancing students interested in communicating warm emotions as this instrument evokes wonderful color in its tone. |
 |
Richard Henson - Partially crafted in Hong Kong, this instrument is imported unvarnished and graduations are applied correctly and individually resulting in an instrument that projects incredibly with color and strength -- often comparing itself to instruments double in value. The hand-applied antique varnish lends an old-world aesthetic and is tremendously attractive to those seeking an older look.

Snow Strings - A range of beautiful instruments from this Chinese company. Most popular is the Snow 400 model: a very attractively priced instrument made in China with a Western music appreciation for warmth of tone. Snow instruments break free from the Chinese mold of bright and over-powering. These are large-voiced instruments that articulate with warmth and color, allowing players to fully explore the range of emotions the violin was designed to evoke. Varnish is a beautiful Italianate style: fully antiqued in tasteful old-world style.

Scott Cao Violins - Based in China and Campbell California, Scott Cao violins offer a wide range of instruments for players beginning to advanced. Scott Cao is an award-winning violinmaker in his own right and lends his knowledge and talents to the creation of all his fine instruments. Lower price instruments are crafted in China to his exacting specifications: the STV-500 model is a terrific value instrument for students evolving beyond their first beginner instrument. For students advancing beyond, we recommend the Model STV-850: exact reproductions of famous historic instruments. |
